Wondered what Beatle books everyone has and what your favourites are. Beatles Anthology, A Hard Day's Write, In His Own Write, Spaniard in the Works and Cynthia's John are some of mine. Does anyone have I, Me, Mine? If so, hear John was miffed as barely got a mention!

no, i haven't got it, sorry. I know about the anthology and what about "a Hard day's write"? Is it similar to the movie?

A Hard Day's Write goes through each of their songs and gives the origin/inspiration for it. It's by Steve Turner and it's worth a look.

My favs include both of Johns books,Revolution in My Head and the Hunter Davies book.I have I,Me,Mine.Its a good read and yes,John was a bit miffed about being almost ignored.
Many Years from Now is very good as well.Just finished Patties book and enjoyed it.

One of my prized Beatles pocessions is a 1st edition of The Beatles biography by Hunter Davies(1968).The dust jacket is a little tatty but otherwise the book is in very good condition.I love ,I Me Mine and the two John books from 64/65.

I've read "Can't Buy Me Love". But I quit reading it because it took FOREVER!  Well, I have Pattie Boyd's "Wonderful Tonight, The Beatles 365 days, and a huge book called "John, Paul, George, and Ringo" with rare pics of the lads and a day-by-day timeline.  I also have "Here, There, and Everywhere" with facts on their top 100 songs. ;D |
