The Rolling Stones are an English rock band. The band formed in 1962 in London when original leader Brian Jones and pianist Ian Stewart were joined by vocalist Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards. Jagger and Richards early on formed a songwriting partnership and gradually took over leadership of the band from the increasingly troubled and erratic Jones. Bassist Bill Wyman and drummer Charlie Watts completed the early lineup. Stewart, deemed unsuitable as a teen idol, was removed from the official lineup in 1963 but continued to work with the band as road manager and keyboardist until his death in 1985.So? what do you thin of these guys?   |

good band, one of my other faves from around that time
like "The Beatles vs The Rolling Stones" is, I guess, the question of that era, and I'm... not totally sure? like if it was just done on music released when both bands were active, then I think The Beatles would win, but the Stones continued to release music for a lot longer (I mean, they released a new album a little over a month ago...) and imo they did a lot of their best stuff in the 70s
like my fave albums of theirs are Beggars Banquet (1968), Sticky Fingers (1971), Exile on Main Street (1972), Some Girls (1978) and A Bigger Bang (2005), only one of which was released when The Beatles were still together
uh
not sure where I'm going with this
they're both really good bands?

I prefer the Beatles
sometimes The Rolling Stones just go too hard for my tastes

Yeah? I never really thought of them as being that heavy a band
Like they'd do heavier music more often than The Beatles, but something like Helter Skelter would be about the same level of harshness as The Rolling Stones would do
And I don't think they ever did anything as heavy as, say, some early Cheap Trick songs get
