"and in the end... the love you make is equal to the love you take..."
From a social media perspective it’s fair to say things are all aboout community, the value of community becomes evident from the building of social capital, a term finding itself in vogue once again. This does not mean adding every random you find on facebook as a friend as Sebastyne makes clear, but a more strategic intelligent approach. The more we read and comment on other people’s blogs when they present ideas that entice us, favourite and comment on each other’s photos which give us a different and interesting view of the world, respond to other people’s tweets we find useful etc, the larger, more complex, more personal, more specific and more intelligent our social networks grow. Rendering a sentiment harking back centuries, and verbalised so eloquently by The Beatles in the late 1960’s just as relevant to our times as it has been to those before us.
Why? Because it’s not about social media, it’s about humanity, and all social media does is bring humanity online.
