Well if you want to see my rant here it is: (by the way I wrote a year ago, and haven't revised it since so it's kinda old. My writing skills were very bad then lol, I'm very particular. )

Yoko is just not my cup of tea. The peace thing-wonderful! She has been doing many great things for the world like the Light Tower just recently in Iceland, FABULOUS! I believe she is a very nice woman if you were to speak to her, I think the public were far too hard on her and John getting together and that she was some weirdo Japanese artist and I understand her artwork and why she does it, like if you have ever on youtube seen her 'Cut Piece'.

However, I haven't liked her since I first heard about her back in 2005, and my opinion hasn't changed since. Reading John and Imagine This has only cemented my opinion of her. She did so much, yet she hardly did anything at the same time. No one can deny that John changed upon meeting her, and personally I don't like this change. Yes, he was promoting peace, but was it really him? I don't know John personally so I can't contradict, but this is how I feel. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this is mine.

If Cynthia, Julian, his sisters Jackie and Julia weren't in the picture I'd hardly mind her, but you read John or Imagine This and then I do mind her. It would be nice if Yoko actually wrote a book telling her side of the story. Forgive me if I am wrong but aren't the only books she has out Grapefruit (back from 1964) and that book of other artists telling how he inspired them called Memories of John Lennon in 2005.

So now, this is something I read back in July that shocked me and you can never really know who is right and what is true, but if Yoko wrote a book then I'd have another side of the story to compare with.

Things like that. Mind you, I do not personally know him or his family or Yoko. I have so much more to say and quote from books, but I think that's enough typing on this subject for now, but I included the quotations so you could see what I base my opinions on.

Yeah you're right, we don't know them and we can't know what was really happening and what was their relationship like, but according to what everybody says... it's all against yoko. I watched the movie "let it be". And there she was, always with john. She didn't let him go anywhere alone. She was sitting beside him all movie long.

Well, I think I've said this somewhere else in the forum before, but I don't think that Yoko was as bad as most persons think. I mean, yes, I must admit that her ideas were REALLY weird (and let's not remember how she "sings" ) but anyway, we must remember that John was happy and as he said once "he grew as a person" by her side I think that it is what really matters here

I really don't think Yoko broke up The Beatles. There were so many different factors. I do think Yoko was one of those factors, but she certainly wasn't the only one. I think, like Paola said, some of her art and music is a little out there, but, again as Paola said, she was there for John and really did love him and John was happy with her-that's all that matters.

I hate her. And that's all..All that Kirsten's post..The same things I think. But why he was with her, what he saw in her?? Why he left Cyn? It seems that she witched him..I'm not joking, it really seems so to me. I just can't find other explanation.
I love "the old Johnny" so much! He was so nice..But after her he changed like Kirsten wrote..And I don't like those changes at all..She was like a shadow, always with him. It's terrible..
Of course you could say that the most important thing is his music not personal life. But only because of her, I couldn't even think that John could be my fave Beatle ://

I put "I don't Know" Because I have several reasons. I like her and I don't like her.

Things I don't like about her, I don't like her singing voice very much, and I didn't like some of the things she made John do in the past, and I couldn't stand it when she was constantly hanging around him when he was recording with the Beatles which is probably only one reason the Beatles split up. I do not think she was the REAL reason they had disbanded. There were other reasons.

Some things i do like about her, she is keeping John's Legacy alive by rereleasing his work or setting up exhibits for people to see and remember John, she created the imagine circle, has been there for John when he needed someone.

So all in all it's hard for me to say. I cannot say I hate anyone because it's too strong of a word or unless I have an extremely good reason for hating a person. I just don't like some of the things that she did is all.

Dislike her or like her, one thing that Yoko has done and is doing, is keeping John's memory alive.
